King Kong is a formidable grab dredger built in 2007 by Fuji Kaiji Kogyo Co. Ltd, Japan. Sailing proudly under the Indonesian flag with its port of registry in Jakarta, this dredger is engineered for high-performance underwater excavation. Measuring 56.00 meters in length and 20.00 meters in breadth, King Kong boasts a robust dredging capacity with a maximum depth of 25 meters. Equipped with a heavy-duty 40-ton bucket and an impressive 25 m³ bucket capacity, the vessel utilizes a chisel-type rock breaker with a 50-ton chisel—perfect for breaking through tough seabeds. With a gross tonnage of 1,342 and a net tonnage of 853, King Kong is a giant in both name and performance, built to tackle demanding dredging operations with ease and precision.
