PERKASA-5
Hopper Barge

Perkasa-5 is a hopper barge built in 2005 by PT. Indonesia Marine, Jakarta. Operating under the Indonesian flag and registered in Jakarta, this vessel is designed to efficiently transport dredged or bulk materials in coastal areas, rivers, and ports across the archipelago.
With a gross tonnage of 343 tons, Perkasa-5 measures 35.12 meters in overall length and 10.97 meters in breadth, with a depth of 3.66 meters. The vessel is equipped with a 500 m³ hopper capacity, providing ample volume for the transport of materials such as sand, silt, and dredged spoil during reclamation or maintenance dredging works.
Though not self-propelled, Perkasa-5 offers excellent versatility and reliability in collaborative dredging operations, often working alongside tugboats and dredgers in port construction and maintenance projects. Its size and capacity make it ideal for operations in confined or shallow waters where precision and efficient material handling are essential.
Recognized for its robust construction and operational readiness, Perkasa-5 continues to serve as a dependable asset in supporting maritime infrastructure, port expansion, and coastal development initiatives throughout Indonesia.
