BIRU PERKASA II
Self-Propelled Hopper Barge

Biru Perkasa II is a self-propelled hopper barge constructed in 2009 by Changjiang Chongqing Waterway Bureau Fengdu Waterway Office, China. Sailing under the Indonesian flag and registered in Jakarta, this vessel is purpose-built for effective dredging and transportation of dredged materials in harbors, rivers, and coastal zones.
Boasting a gross tonnage of 1,770 tons, Biru Perkasa II stretches 82.30 meters in length and 14.00 meters in breadth, with a draft of 2.25 meters and a depth of 4.60 meters. Its hopper holds up to 1,700 m³ of dredged material, while propulsion is delivered by dual Cummins engines rated at 2×600 HP, enabling reliable performance across diverse operational settings.
This versatile and resilient vessel has been deployed in several strategic dredging projects, including:
2023 – Dredging at Tanjung Perak Port
2023 – Dredging at Cilegon
2023 – Dredging at PLTU Waai Ambon
Renowned for its efficiency and durability, Biru Perkasa II is instrumental in supporting maritime infrastructure development, maintaining navigational channels, and facilitating smooth port operations across Indonesia. Its combination of capacity, self-propulsion, and operational flexibility makes it a valuable contributor to national dredging efforts.
